The origins of Halloween dates back to the ancient Celtic and was actually known as All Hallows’ Eve, (yeah, really!) which was a Christianized feast influenced by harvest festivals and whatnot. Halloween Spider Cookies
I don’t want to bore you with any more details, but we know it as the day where we get to carve pumpkins into Jack O’Lanterns, go batty with bat decorations, dress up as our favorite princess, witch, or monster, and best of all … we get to eat more sweet treats than we can count! Halloween Spider Cookies
Halloween is the most spookirific day of the year, where we go out with empty bags, knocking on people’s doors, asking for treats, all in the hopes they give us the best chocolate bars and candies. Halloween Spider Cookies
After all, this is the day where you get to indulge in all the treats you managed to find, like Hershey’s Bars, a few M&Ms, some Milky Ways, and Twizzlers. But there’s a problem. If you eat it all at once, not only are you going to get really sick, but you’ll run out of candy faster than a toupee in a hurricane! You need to learn how to do Halloween, the right way:
First, limit yourself to only 3-4 candy bars per week, and find a few to give away, after all, sharing is caring!
Second, start cooking your own treats with the candies you decided to eat that week. Tell your parents to hide away the rest as it’s nothing but temptation, (and make them promise not to eat it while watching TV late at night!) and head on down to the kitchen to prepare your very own super freaky spider cookies. Just, you know, don’t forget to tell mom to help out! Halloween Spider Cookies
